Cows vs Aliens 2.01

The premise behind the XMG Studio-developed game Cows vs. Aliens is that those darn aliens are out to get your cows. I think that’s bad on so many levels, chief among them the fact that you’ll be left without fresh milk for your cereals. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and its nothing without cereals. But I get distracted and distraught.

As I was saying, the premise is that the aliens are out to get your cows. What you have to do to prevent such a horrendous thing from happening is to get the cows in the barn. They’ll be safe in the barn where the aliens can’t get them. And you’ll have fresh milk for your cereals – hooray!

To get the cows in the barn you just heard them with your fingers. When you put your fingers on the screen, a circle will appear around them; you can use up to 5 fingers on the iPhone or iPod Touch and up to 11 on the iPad (guess you’ll have to all your fingers and a toe, or get a friend to help out). Using that circle you literally push the cows into the barn. Be careful not to push the aliens inside the barn as well.

You get to test you cow herding prowess in 5 levels: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Area 54. As you play these levels you earn milk points that you can use to get power-ups, boosters, saves, and fun extras like ringtones.

Android users will be glad to find out that Cows vs. Aliens is available for their platform as well. The game is available in the Android Market and it’s free.

Cows vs. Aliens is a very fun cow-themed game that you can enjoy by yourself or with friends. Up to 11 fingers can play on the iPad, which means you can play with a friend or two.
